The 2nd International Festival of Falconry CEI  2* 120 Km Endurance Ride   Monday 12th December 2011 Starting from Bou thib, Al Khatem to Al Remah,  Al Ain

113 riders took part in the four-stage race, according to the organisers. Shaikh Rashid Bin Dalmook came first with his horse Ainhoa Le Fol. Mohammad Ahmad Al Abbar came second with his horse Kumait (Kevin de Narthoux) and the third position went to Sultan Ahmad Al Beloushi on Sharahd Sataka. In the women's section, 11 riders participated with five of them being Emiratis.

A special edition of endurance ride is in the offing for equestrian enthusiasts which will be held on Monday, December 12, 2011. The CEI 2* 120-km ride will, for the first time, begin in one venue and finish in a different venue.

The ride is help to mark the 2nd International Festival of Falconry which is being held in Al Ain from December 10-17, 2011.

The Emirates Equestrian Federation is organizing this ride in cooperation with the Falcon Festival Organising Committee. The endurance ride will be run in four loops of 37 km, 32 km, 35km and 16 km. The ride has already attracted more than 130 participants.

According to the organizers, the riders will finish the first two loops in Bou Thieb Endurance Village, Al Khatem, Abu Dhabi and the last two loops will take them to Al Remah, Al Ain.

The Organising Committee thought it was fitting to hold an endurance ride to mark this festival, which reflects the deep-rooted culture and traditions of the UAE.
